Opportunity to Serve as a Peer Health Coach for Thalassemia
April 10, 2013 – The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation (CAF) has been a part of a steering committee with Centric Health Resources, the Patient Centered Health Management® organization that dispenses Ferriprox, to help develop education materials and opportunities to increase treatment compliance. One of the exciting new opportunities that Centric has asked CAF to continue to help them with is to recruit potential applicants as a Peer Health Coach (PHC). The PHC is a support mechanism for U.S. patients enrolled in the Thal Zone, Health Outcome Program developed by Centric Health Resources.
The successful applicant will be provided training and a stipend to work with patients that are taking Ferriprox. The applicant does not have to be a patient on Ferriprox but must be transfusion dependent. CAF will work with the company to identify interested patients, but the successful applicant will work as a Centric contractor. You can learn more about the position by reviewing this document, which includes the Rules and Responsibilities as well as an application form. Applicants must submit a fully completed application to the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation office by May 31, 2013.
