Pre-Register for Webinar on Thalassemia Management with Dr. Janet Kwiatkowski on Feb 28
January 28, 2019 – CAF Medical Advisory Board Chair Janet Kwiatkowski, MD, MSCE, will be the featured expert on the CDC’s Thalassemia Management webinar on February 28 from 2pm-3pm. During this webinar, Dr. Kwiatkowski will provide an overview of current, recommended treatments for people with thalassemia, with an emphasis on transfusion-dependent thalassemia. She will discuss transfusion best practices, as well as monitoring and treatment of iron overload.
This webinar is free and open to public health professionals, clinicians, and researchers who desire more information about thalassemia. Advance registration is required and the number of attendees is limited.
