CAF Welcomes New Employees
September 23, 2011 – CAF is happy to welcome two new additions to its national office staff.
Nathalia Perozo, who is our new Associate Manager of Development and Administration, comes to CAF after positions at LIT Magazine and Standard New York Securities. She will be using her talents and expertise to assist CAF in its new fund raising initiatives aimed at ensuring the financial durability of the Foundation and increasing its ability to offer valuable services to the thalassemia community.

“I’m thrilled to be working with the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation,” Nathalia says. “It is inspiring to be part of a such a heartening organization. I hope to help broaden the scope of our benefactors and make new friends along the way.”
CAF ‘s new Volunteer Coordinator is Teresa Turchi, who is the mother of a young child with thalassemia. Her previous experience includes seven years as Executive Assistant to the CFO and Controller of Kulicke & Soffa Industries, as well as employment with Chrysler Financial and Quinn Developmental Services. Teresa will be reaching out to members of the CAF family to enlist volunteer support for events, fund raisers, meetings and various other activities.
“I’m so glad to be a part of this wonderful organization especially for my daughter’s sake,” says Teresa. “It gives my heart comfort when I talk to other patients and parents and see how great they’re doing. That gives me hope for the future of my little girl!”
CAF is excited to add these valuable new employees to the staff and knows that their skills and dedication will further strengthen the Foundation.
