CAF Suffolk Chapter Holds Classic Car Event on October 21

September 26, 2012 – This fall, as Detroit unveils its latest new models, why not spend a little time with a few classic cars as well? Join the Suffolk chapter of CAF on October 21, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., for its first ever “Classic Car Show and Test & Tune.”

Hosted by classic car aficionados Guy Lucchese and Sal Lucchese, the show takes place at the Central Islip Fire Department Training Facility at 110 Wheeler Road in Central Islip, NY. (Rain date, should it be necessary, is November 11.)

Although dubbed a “classic” car show, there will be a range of automobiles featured, including exotic cars (such as Lamborghini, Ferrari and Maserati) and muscle cars.

A special feature of the show will be the “Test & Tune” – an opportunity to show what you have under the hood. Cars will line up one at a time at a stop light; at the signal, the driver puts the “pedal to the metal” for sixty feet; the contestant with the fastest time takes home a trophy.

Registration takes place from 8:00 – 11:00, and the Test & Tune runs from noon to 4:00.

If you don’t have a car to enter in the Car Show or Test & Tune, come down to take a look at the beautiful cars on display! The cost is $10 for spectators, $20 per vehicle for entries in the car show, and $50 per vehicle for entries in the Test & Tune.
