Tess Ficarra, CAF Co-Founder, Passes Away
September 22, 2008 – It is with profound sadness that the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation announces the passing of Tess Ficarra, beloved co-founder of the Foundation, on the morning of September 21. Ms. Ficarra, who was 100 years old, passed away peacefully.
Viewings will be held Monday, September 22, at John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Avenue, Red Bank, NJ, 07701 (732-747–0332), from 2:00-4:00 and from 7:00 – 9:00.
A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 23 at 10:00 at St. Anthony’s Church, 121 Bridge Avenue in Red Bank.
Our sympathies go out to the family of the deceased and especially to Ms. Ficarra’s son, Bob, a current and long time member of the CAF Board.
