Register Now for 2014 CAF Patient-Family Conference!
February 27, 2014 – Registration is now open for CAF’s 2014 Patient~Family Conference! This amazing annual event will be held June 20-22 at the Intercontinental Chicago-O’Hare Hotel in Rosemont, Il.
Entitled “Perspectives & Strategies for Thalassemia Care & Curative Options,” the Conference is a unique opportunity for any individual with thalssemia and their family members (parents, siblings, spouses, etc.) to meet other members of the community and learn important information that can have a positive impact on their health and their lives.

here is no registration fee for U.S. patients, family members and health care providers attending the Conference. CAF is also pleased to make the Conference meals (Friday reception; Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner; Sunday brunch) available free of charge to U.S. patients, family members and health care providers.

Registration must be received by June 6, 2014; we regret that we are unable to register anyone onsite. Hotel reservations should be made separately (see below for special discount room rate and information).
Non-U.S. patients and family members may attend the Conference at a registration rate of $500 per person.
Guests must make room reservations directly with the Intercontinental no later than May 30, 2014. CAF has secured a special rate of $139 per night for a room for 2 adults and 2 children (under 17). Discount parking is available for $12 per day. There is free shuttle service to/from the hotel and the airport. You can register for your hotel room by clicking here or by calling (888) 233-9527. (If calling, you will need to use tell them you are coming for the CAF Conference and use Code BE2 to secure the discounted room rate.)
PLEASE NOTE: For people who are reserving hotel rooms for the Patient~Family Conference online: The discount room rate is for 2 adults and 2 children. On the first page of the hotel reservation site, you are asked to indicate how many guests will be in the room in addition to yourself; if you enter 2 or 3 guests, the site initially assumes these are adults and raises the rate to $154. If you continue on to the NEXT page, you will be able to indicate that some of these guests are children, and the rate will then re-adjust itself to the original discount rate. We apologize for this inconvenience; unfortunately, this is an issue on the Intercontinental site and not something that we can change.
