Patient, CAF President on Long Island TV Program
October 29, 2008 – Michael Giammalvo, who has thalassemia, and Anthony Viola, the CAF National President, will be the guests on Empowered Voices, a cable television program airing in areas of Long Island, airing for several consecutive Thursdays, starting October 30.
The program which airs on cable channel 20 in Brookhaven, Smithtown and North Islip, airs from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It will air in this time slot each Thursday from October 30 through the end of December.
On the program, Michael and Tony talk with host Lou Gallo about many aspects of thalassemia, educating viewers about the disorder, the challenges associated with it, and the work of the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation on behalf of people with thalassemia.
