Moore Catholic High School Holds Blood Drive in Staten Island on Jan. 24

January 11, 2011 – The Staten Island chapter of CAF has announced that Moore Catholic High School at 100 Merrill Avenue in Staten Island, NY will hold a blood drive from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 24.

Any person who meets eligibility requirements for donating blood (see box below) is welcome and encouraged to come donate.

The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation thanks the industrious and committed students of Moore Catholic High School for arranging this blood drive, which is especially needed during the winter months when blood donations typically fall.

Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with appropriate written permission (NY) or consent (NJ) from their parent or legal guardian) and weigh 110 pounds and be in good health. Donors age 16-18 are also subject to additional height/weight restrictions.

January is National Blood Donor Month.

CAF Salutes and Thanks All Those Who Generously Give the Gift of Life.
