There simply is no better way to show someone how special they are than by escorting them to this hotly-anticipated event at the Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island, NY. Whether it’s one very important object of your affection or a full table of people who make a profound impact upon your life, the Let Your Heart Dance is a unique chance to express your thanks – and to have a blast while doing it.

There’s dancing, of course. Whether your style is boogie, disco, street or classically smooth, there’s ample opportunity to wear those shoes out.

All that dancing requires sustenance, of course. Don’t worry; you’ll get everything you need and more simply by cruising through the generous cocktail reception that opens the proceedings at 7:30. It’s a full hour of your favorite wines, cocktails and sodas, as well as a variety of serving stations that dish up a dazzling array of appetizers that are guaranteed to give you energy to burn when the mood to dance takes hold of you. (And it will take hold of you. There’s no use trying to resist.)

There’s a delicious dinner, too, when the cocktail reception ends at 8:30. And all through the evening, a top shelf open bar helps you recover from your dance floor activities or just allows you to toast the good friends you have brought with you, and to celebrate the new friends you meet during the evening.

If all that isn’t enough, you also will have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for some marvelous prizes, including a gold and diamond “Key to Your Heart” (courtesy of Razz Jewelers), a dinner and cabaret show for two at the Staten Island Hilton (courtesy of Richard and Lois Nicotra), and a Bountiful Basket of Cheer (courtesy of Rick and Marianne Disick). Buying a raffle ticket is another excellent way to show someone you love them or to show your thanks to your host or hostess for treating you to this magical night.

Most important of all, the Let Your Heart Dance raises money to help CAF in its fight against thalassemia. While your smooth moves are heating up the dance floor or while you’re relaxing at your table and savoring a refreshingly chilled chardonnay, you’re also helping in the search for a cure for a terrible blood disorder. You can’t get more win-win than that.

Tax-deductible tickets for the event are $115 per person and must be purchased in advance; no ticket money will be taken at the door. If you would like to reserve a table of twelve for your family and friends or just two seats for you and your sweetheart, RSVP by January 20 to Frank or Deborah Somma at ANGELS1606@AOL.COM.

If you are interested in staying the night, the Hilton Garden Inn has held a number of rooms for the event at a discounted price of $145. When booking a room, tell them you are with Cooley’s Anemia Foundation.

February 13 is almost here, and the ticket deadline of January 20 is even closer. Make your reservations today; you don’t want to spend the rest of 2010 kicking yourself for not going.
