Get "Freezin' for a Reason" on March 14
December 17, 2008 – On March 14, 2009, the Southeast District of the New Jersey Elks will hold “Miracle Plunge II: Freezin’ for a Reason” to benefit CAF and the Elks Camp Moore. Participants will embrace the bracing (but hopefully thawed!) waters at 5th Avenue and Ocean in Belmar, NJ at noon that day.
Over 90 brave but somewhat “zany” individuals participated in the first Miracle Plunge, raising over $40,000 and proving “Elks Care and Elks Share.” This year will be even better!
A Post Plunge reception with food, refreshments and auction will be hosted by Belmar Lodge #997,708 7th Ave., starting at 1:00 PM and running till all are warm again. All Plungers will receive two complimentary invitations; tickets will be available at the door for $15.00.
Plungers will also receive gifts related to the level of funding they achieve. Those who raise $100 will get a plunge skill cap; for $250, a cap plus a Plunge love sleeved t-shirt; and for $500, a cap, t-shirt and a plunge hooded sweatshirt.
