Gargi Pahuja, Leader in Thalassemia Community, Has Passed Away
July 21, 2012
Gargi was a remarkable person who was well known and loved in the thalassemia community (and beyond) and whose warmth, courage and insights touched and inspired all who were fortunate enough to know her. We send our sympathy and support to her family and loved ones in this difficult time.
“The entire thalassemia community is saddened by Gargi’s passing,” says Anthony J. Viola, CAF National President. “She was a remarkable human being who always went above and beyond the call of duty in giving of herself, her knowledge and her experience. The Foundation and all who knew her will greatly miss her; we are all enriched by having known her and by benefiting from her caring and her incredible spirit.”
