Download Emergency Preparedness Checklist for People with Thalassemia
August 6, 2013 – It’s important for all families to develop a plan of action to use in the event of an emergency situation, especially if your family includes a person with thalassemia. CAF, as part of a collaborative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, has created a checklist which people with thalassemia may use to help create an appropriate emergency preparedness plan.
You can download the Emergency Preparedness Checklist for People with Thalassemia by clicking here.
We urge all individuals and families in the thalassemia community to download this document and use it to make an appropriate plan. Naturally, we hope that you never need to use such a plan, but it’s important to have one in place in the event of an emergency situation such as a hurricane or flood.
