December Parents Call Will Focus on Temperament
November 24, 2010 – “Understanding Your Child’s Temperament” will be the subject of the next Parents’ Call-In, scheduled for Tuesday, December 14, from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Eastern time.
“I have chosen this topic because I think it is important to understand the idea of temperament and how it can affect your child’s everyday life,” says Kathleen Durst, MA, LMSW, CAF’s Social Worker and the organizer of the Parents’ Call-Ins. “I will present on the concept and then speak about how it can relate to your child’s mood and behavior when they are chelating, going to the clinic, managing school and friends, etc.” An outline will be provided in advance of the call.
Rosemary Schmidt, CAF’s Social Work Intern, will also be a part of the call-in program.
Parents of a child with thalassemia who wish to participate should contact Kathleen at (212) 279-8090 x 202 or k.durst@cooleysanemia.org for more information and/or to sign up to be on the call-in.
