Care Walk Is Coming – Join One or Do Your Own!
March 3, 2011 – A few steps on May 1, 2011 can mean a whole new future for children born with thalassemia!
The Care Walk on May 1, 2011, sponsored by the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation & the Thalassemia Action Group, will be a whole series of individual walks that will let people across the country demonstrate their support for people with thalassemia. You can show you care just by going for a walk.
A Care Walk is unique because it offers you flexibility: you may determine where you want to walk and plan an event that works for you.
You determine what your Care Walk route will be: around a nearby lake, in a community park, your own neighborhood – any route you decide upon. Or you can participate in an organized walk in select areas (see yellow box below for details).
More and more people are joining in every day to show their support for people with thalassemia and raise funds for our vital programs. But we need YOU to join as well.
