CAF Celebrates with Summer Lovin on June 9

April 29, 2010 – Summer is a time for celebrating, and CAF and TAG are kicking things off in fashion on June 9 with Summer Lovin’, a special night to celebrate thalassemia patients. Novartis Oncology is the Event Sponsor for Summer Lovin’.

This way-fun event, to be held at Cavo Cafe Lounge in Astoria, NY, will help to raise funds while honoring all those with thalassemia.

There’s nothing like summer in New York City, and Cavo Cafe, at 42-18 31st Avenue, is a great place to unwind and let go, to mingle and share laughs while sampling some marvelous hors d’oeuvres, quenching your thirst and easing into some awesome tunes. Dish Du Jour Magazine says that “Cavo is without a doubt an extravagantly designed beauty of a restaurant,” exactly the place you want to be when in New York on a festive summer evening.

Summer Lovin’ runs from 6:00 to 9:00 on Wednesday, June 9. Tickets are $20, which includes a glass of wine or draft beer; other drinks are available from the cash bar. There will also be a raffle and a special dinner journal, an excellent way for people to honor those who are special in their lives in a visible way.

We hope that many members of the CAF family – patients, family members, friends, loved ones, colleagues – will join us at this special celebration.
