Staten Island Chapter Golf Outing Hits the Links May 7
February 25, 2014 – It may have been a rough winter, but the snow ought to be gone by May 7 – the date of the Staten Island chapter of CAF’s 10th annual Charity Golf Outing!
This annual event has become one of the most anticipated for area golfers, whether dedicated enthusiasts or occasional links-walkers. And why not? It’s held at the beautiful South Shore Golf Course of the lovely Grand Oaks Country Club (formerly the South Shore Country Club) in Staten Island, so the setting is definitely a winner. Throw in lunch, cocktails and dinner, and things get even more appealing – even before you get to the hole-in-one contest, putting contest, performance prizes, door prizes and raffles!
The day begins with registration and lunch at 11:00 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at 12:30; cocktails and dinner are at 6:00. All of this for a mere $185 per person. (Those interested in joining only for cocktails and dinner can do so for a modest $100.) A number of attractive sponsorships are also available.
