Long Island Chapter Holds Gift of Life Ball and Casino Night on October 29

August 15, 2011 – On Saturday, October 29, 2011, the Long Island chapter of the Cooley’s Anemia Foundation will once again present its annual Gift of Life Ball and Casino Night.

This very special evening, which is eagerly anticipated by those who have attended in years past, will begin at 7:00 p.m. Held at beautiful Leonard’s of Great Neck, the Gift of Life Ball supports the work of the non-profit Cooley’s Anemia Foundation in fighting the blood disorder thalassemia (aka Cooley’s anemia).

Guests enjoy a delicious dinner; dancing to a great deejay; and casino games including blackjack, roulette, money wheel and dice; winners then join in a Chinese Auction. There’s also a special Silent Auction, as well as a jewelry vendor. The cost is $150 per person (which includes $200 in gaming chips). (Please note that the gaming activities do not involve actual cash money; games are for entertainment only.)
