June 12 Golf Outing & Poker Tournament Features “Hamilton” Raffle

May 2, 2017 – CAF is thrilled to announce that we are one of the beneficiaries of the Milana Family Foundation’s 2^nd Annual Golf Outing and Poker Tournament. In addition to golf and poker, this event also features four raffles, including a 50/50 raffle and a raffle for tickets to the red-hot Broadway musicals “Hamilton” and “Dear Evan Hansen.”

The 2nd Annual Charity Golf Outing & Poker Tournament will take place June 12 at the Fresh Meadow Country Club in Lake Success, NY. The Cooley’s Anemia Foundation and another charity, Stop Abuse, will receive the proceeds from this event, thanks to the generosity of Tom Milana and the Milana Family Foundation.

The schedule for the June 12 event is as follows:

10:00 am – Registration Opens / Brunch Served
12:00 pm – First Group Tee Off
5:00 pm – Cocktail Hour
6:00 pm – Dinner Begins
8:00 pm – Charity Poker Tournament Begins

The Fresh Meadow Country Club features a spectacular golf course featuring the artistry of Charles Alison’s bunkering. The fairways follow the natural roll of the forested terrain, and several tees are elevated far above the fairway, providing a wonderful view of the landscape.

Individual golfer tickets are $1,250 (and includes one buy-in for the Poker Tournament). Those who wish to attend only the Poker Tournament may purchase an initial buy-in for $500; rebuys are available for the first hour of the tournament. The grand prize for the Poker Tournament is 5 nights in a 4-bedroom apartment in the Albany Bahamas Luxury Resort (a $30,000+ value).

Raffles

The winner of the 50-50 raffle will receive half of the money raised from raffles sold for that purpose; these raffle tickets are $100 each. Last year, this raffle raised over $20,000, half of which went home with the raffle winner. The “Weekend in NYC” raffle tickets are $25 each (or 5 for $100). The winner of that raffle will receive 2 tickets to the September 15 performance of the Tony-winning musical, “Hamilton,” along with 2 tickets to “Dear Evan Hansen,” a 2 night stay at the Gansevoort, Park Avenue, and 2 gift certificates for dinner in NYC. You do not need to be present to win either of the raffles.
