July 27, 2010 - The Staten Island chapter of CAF has scheduled a blood drive on Sunday, August 15 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Pity Church.
Stating that "blood is is one commodity that cannot be manufactured," the chapter is encouraging all potential donors to attend - and to bring a friend to donate, if possible. Criteria for Donating Blood | | Age: 16-75 (16 year olds must have parental permission. Age 76 and over need doctor's note.) Minimum weight: 110 pounds Bring ID with signature or photo. Eat well (low fat) & drink fluids. No tattoos for past 12 months. For questions concerning eligibility, call 1-800-688-0900.
