College Age Thalassemia Students – Learn About Libra Group Internships

April 19, 2017CAF Board member Maria Hadjidemetriou has been in touch with the Libra Group, a prestigious international business group, about their exciting internship program. Thalassemia patients who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and who are interested in an internship may wish to look into this program.

Full details about the Libra Group internship program can be found by clicking here, but following are a few of the pertinent details:

At the time of applying, the student must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be fluent in English
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0 (USA) or equivalent

And at the time of the application, the student must be one of the following:

  • A currently enrolled undergraduate student at an accredited college/university
  • A currently enrolled MBA student at Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB)
  • A currently enrolled postgraduate student pursuing an M.Sc. in Maritime Studies at the University of Piraeus
  • A currently enrolled Masters student at ALBA Graduate Business School

Interns may get placements with the Libra Group and its subsidiaries in various roles including: finance, marketing, social responsibility, accounting, IT support, human resources, hotel operations, culinary and more. All Libra Group internships are paid internships. There are opportunities both in the U.S. and in Europe.

The deadline for applying for internships for the Winter 2018 session (Jan. 22 – May 11, 2018) is May 2, 2017. Applications for the summer 2018 internships have not yet been posted.
