Bowling for a Cure on November 16
October 25, 2014 – Can you spare the time to strike a blow for thalassemia and bowl everyone over with your support? If so, mark November 16 on your calendar!
That date (a Sunday) is when the Suffolk chapter of CAF will hold a “Bowling for a Cure” event from 2:00-4:30 p.m. at Bowlmor Lanes in Melville, NY.
Organized by Sarah and Mike Connolly, parents of Zayna, an adorable little girl with thalassemia, this is a marvelous way to have fun while raising funds that help CAF maintain its important medical research, patient services and education/awareness programs. Each $30 ticket includes bowling from 2:00 to 4:30, pizza, soda and (of course) bowling shoe rental. (Those under 10 years of age can participate for a reduced ticket price of $20.) Bowlmor Lanes is located at 895 Walt Whitman Road.
